The Brittany Gehrlein Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship fund was established by the family of Brittany Gehrlein.   The purpose of the scholarship is to honor the memory of Brittany by awarding to qualified students of the Bay Knoll School a token of the school's esteem for hard work and committment to service exemplified by those students.
Brittany Gehrlein was the young daughter of Robert Gehrlein of Webster, New York, who was stricken and succumbed at a very young age with an inoperable brain tumor.   Brittany was an inspiration, even at her young age, to all who came in contact with her.   While undergoing numerous uncomfortable and often painful treatments and procedures, and seldom understanding why, she always had a beautiful smile for everyone and was a pleasure to be around.   Her bright, buoyant spirit in stark contrast to her terminal condition exemplified the attitude all Christians should have when confronted with the vagaries of this sinful world.
An individual who will be considered for this award will meet the following conditions:
-   is a current student in good standing at the Bay Knoll School
-   maintains academic rigor
-   is financially solvent with the school
-   has made concrete displays of service to the school, the church, or the community
-   exhibits an attitude commensurate with the Christian values upheld by the school

If you would like to be a contributor to this worthy, tax-exempt scholarship, please contact the school treasurer.
